Shinji Horimura (1975-) is a self taught artist from Osaka, Japan.
He focuses on nude Japanese male in Fundoshi serving at religious ceremonies or local folk festivals. He captures the uniqueness of traditional Japan where eroticism and sacredness live harmoniously together.

The defined continuous outline of male figure that Shinji draws comes from architectural drawing, since he was a display/interior designer before becoming an artist. Although he uses traditional materials such as Washi, Sumi, and Suihi(clay paint), his artistic style is strongly influenced by graphic design and street art.
